“The Gulf Coast spill will have eclipsed the Exxon Valdez in terms of total gallons of oil before the weekend is over — making it the largest oil spill in U.S. history — according to calculations made by oceanographer Ian MacDonald after studying aerial Coast Guard photos taken earlier in the week…..”

okay no more shopping till july!

but…for now, i shall document all the styles i like so that when july comes around, I can remember what I wanted. after a week, I am still deciding whether or not I should return this one blue chiffon shirt I bought for $30 at Urban. I guess any shirt that takes this much contemplation isn’t truly worth it huh?

This past week was a great week. I spent my entire May break at UCLA reuniting with my girls<3 How in the world did I live the past 8 weeks without them? :) I had such a great time catching up with the girls at Urth Cafe! I originally thought it was spelled, Earth Cafe, but just like how I thought Justin Bieber was spelled Justin Beaver, I was wrong. The girls ordered the Chicken Curry Salad while I ordered the Hummus and Tabouli salad. I liked how everything was organic and natural :). My only complaint is that the hummus on my salad was too creamy :(! Oh well because $17 dollars and a bloated stomach later, I had a big smile on my face. I’m so glad I can talk to my girls for hours on end on just about anything :]

Digressing from one story of my life to another, I am currently on a search for a P.A to shadow! Anyone have any suggestions on how I can hunt one down!?

I would like to note that I am not peeing on the statue

now for my style documentations:
Love the girl on the left!
I LOVE THE OUTFIT ON THE LEFT<3

love the romper!!

I LIKE THIS ROMPER BUT THE BOY SAYS ITS UGLY.

she has such nice legs!!!

I NEED NICE LEGS!

okay thats it for now.

i need to study! ASAP

If anyone knew me, I mean really knew me, they would know that this is my ideal icecream on a cone. Lots of sprinkles!! After days of gorging on sandwiches, mcdonald snack wraps, mac & cheese, animal cookies etc at 1:00 AM in the morning due to studying for exams and finals…..I AM FINALLY DONE. I was EXHAUSTED from the seemingly never ending piles of work. So exhausted that I woke up at 4:00 pm today…and once again, if anyone really knew me, they’d know that I am the type of person who wakes up at 8AM everyday! I am still too tired to blog…but I’m so excited because I finally have more time to do things I love to do. I am anxiously awaiting my 3.8! Hopefully all my hardwork effing paid off.

The new health care reform bill has been officially signed on March 23rd! Go here if you want a summary of the new bill: http://www.doughroller.net/news-analysis/health-care-reform-bill-facts-figures/

Anyways, I am so tired. The night before, I only got 2.5 hours of sleep and then the night before that…maybe 5. I feel like every week here at Redlands is finals week. Ironically, the actual finals week will probably be the chillest week of my entire semester because no classes, no homework due, no lab reports due, no work….only finals to study for. Now I need to start writing my genetics lab report on gene regulation of heat shock proteins in yeast! I’M SO EXCITED. not.
Just 3 more weeks I keep telling myself.
I’m looking forward to May :)! I’m going to exercise every single and visit LA! I miss my fwenz :(

I’m surprised I actually have time to procrastinate right now. What better than to use my time to invest in this blog!! Time always passes by either A) way too slow or B) way too fast and right now, time is passing by way too fast. I really wish we had more than 24 hours a day to finish everything on our agenda! Everyday I feel like I’m suffocating a little more from work, stress, school overload and the worst part is, there’s no guarantee that my efforts will pay off. I miss my friends:( sigh.

Anyways, songs like this one rekindles the hopeless romantic that’s been buried and hidden deep within me. I stopped believing in cute dates and even discarded them as unnecessary ever since I began stressing about the realities in life. Since music is such a big outlet for my feelings and emotions, I really feel a strong connection with those that share similar music taste with me. When I want to reminisce, nothing can’t paint a picture better than a song’s melody and lyrics. When I want to find peace and solitude, nothing is better than listening to some Jon Schmidt. When I listen to songs, I begin conjuring up romantic fantasies of being swept away and living happily ever after. So if my boyfriend tells me that it’s no biggie that we don’t have similar music interests, it’ll really bother me.

I’m hoping to have a productive summer. It makes me feel so inadequate when I hear other people doing a prestigious internship or obtaining a nice job. Oh well, that only motivates me to strive harder. Which reminds me, I need to finish my medical scribe application…eeks! For now though, I must concentrate on the chem test I have on monday and the physics test on wednesday! I’m beginning to hate the semester system because all the UC kids are on spring break now :(! On the bright side, I made my own pho this weekend and it was legit!

Good thing I can always count on food to brighten my day.

Life has never been so busy.

It’s been 1 whole month since I’ve written in my blog.

Never in my whole entire life have I been both so overwhelmed & LIBERATED by school.

I want to sit down & write an entry dedicated to myself.
But i cant… my thoughts are constantly interrupted by my mom’s silent cries.

All I know is that I wish I could help.

LMAO.

LMAO.

My family & I went camping once again this past New Years Weekend :) This time, we decided to hit a different beach, Silver Strand State Beach, which lies a little south of San Diego & is situated between the Pacific Ocean & Coronado Bay. My greatest achievements this weekend are running 3 miles in 24 minutes & biking 12 miles to the cutest little town.
I saw this short excerpt by Colin Powell while surfing the web & it reminded me of my mother in so many ways. Though I find many things true, it’s simply put, very harsh. What do you think?

The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve. Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others, it increases your mediocrity. An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with negative thinking and negative acting people. As you grow, your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are. Friends that don’t help you climb will want you to crawl. Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dream. Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you.
Consider this: Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how. Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person. Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere. With some people you spend an evening: with others you invest it. Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But, if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights.
“A mirror reflects a man’s face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses.” The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate - for the good and the bad. Note: Be not mistaken. This is applicable to family as well as friends. Yes…do love, appreciate and be thankful for your family, for they will always be your family no matter what. Just know that they are human first and though they are family to you, they may be a friend to someone else and will fit somewhere in the criteria above.
“In Prosperity Our Friends Know Us. In Adversity We Know Our Friends.” “Never make someone a priority when you are only an option for them.” “If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.”
